Spotlight Student of the month
Digipen Institute of Technology
The Bervann Foundation's One-Kid-At-A-Time is raising funds to sponsor tuition fees for students of minority and underprivileged backgrounds who have shown great determination, strong work ethic and have been able to secure at least a portion of the funding through their own efforts, but still lack funding.
Our February Spotlight Student is Mr. Kai Kawashima, a talented young man who overcame the challenges of moving across 3 countries during school, adapting to studies in 2 languages and 3 cultures. A low-income student of visible minority, he dedicated himself to his academics, arts, and sports, excelling in all three throughout his high school career.
He gained acceptance in the prestigious Digipen Institute of Technology, the 3rd most difficult school to get into in Washington State with an acceptance rate of just 34%, ranked among the top 5 schools for Game Design in 2020 by The Princeton Review. Now in his second year of studies, he is maintaining a 3.85 GPA and has made the Dean’s list for 2 semesters. Despite earning multiple scholarships and taking student loans, he is still unable to fully finance his tuition.
We wish to support students like Kai who deserve the education they have earned through hard work and exceptional discipline yet cannot afford it. Help us support Kai and other promising students to better their futures and fulfill their academic dreams.

We inspire and impact people to work together toward solving the very issues that surround them through innovative solutions.
We stand against big budget, inefficient and quick fixes that grab headlines but provide no long-term alleviation of social maladies.
The cause is larger than any race, nation, individual or company. It requires everyone working together in harmony to bring about solutions that root out problems and transform our society for the better.
We facilitate the implementation of long-term, self-sustaining solutions by the people that create opportunity for all.
